Lucinda Barnum-Steggerda, M Div, LMSW

Lucinda has joined Muskegon Flourishing Minds! Lucinda is a fully licensed master’s level clinical social worker (LMSW) in the state of Michigan. In addition, she holds a Master of Divinity Degree (M Div) and has been an ordained pastor for the past 36 years. She has worked in a variety of settings servicing children, adolescents, adults and families. This includes working in various schools as a special education teacher. She has received additional training and has experience in the following modalities: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-CBT), Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and body-based trauma treatment therapies.

She has had, both personal and professional, experience servicing patients with vision impairments and various eye diseases. You wouldn’t know it, but she is the recipient of two corneal transplants! In addition, she works with clergy members, their families, the LQBTQIA community, senior citizens, and those experiencing grief.

Lucinda approaches therapy through a strength-based, trauma informed lens. She is committed to advocating and empowering her clients to treat their emotional or behavioral concerns. Lucinda meets with patients in person and via telehealth.
