Dena is a master’s level clinical psychologist with a Limited License in Psychology (LLP) working under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist. She earned her masters degree in 1984 from Central Michigan University and prior to this, her bachelors degree from the University of Michigan. She has worked in a variety of agency settings in the past including Ottawa County CMH, and in the states of Oregon, and southern California.
Her primary life focus has been on raising her three children, so she brings a solid foundation of parenting skills to her work. She draws upon eclectic orientations in her counseling, but uses primarily supportive and reality based therapies. She is confident working with women of all ages, and will address the challenges of daily living, of raising a family, and dealing with relationship concerns. Dena believes in helping those that she works with to become as strong and resilient as they can be, since life can be trying, even for the best of us. She is currently accepting new referrals. Her current schedule is primarily on Wednesdays and Fridays at the office. Call Judy at (231) 737-1213 to schedule with Dena.
